| Struggling with congestion on its popular networks, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation will be introducing eight-coach trains on its high density corridors by October.
According to DMRC officials, corridors of phases I and II can take only a maximum of eight coaches trains.
The Delhi Metro has also introduced a special training simulators, to train Metro drivers for emergency situations. The simulators throw up technical challenges and help drivers learn various ways of troubleshooting.
The training, according to Delhi Metro, will prepare drivers to handle technical glitches and bring down the reaction time to emergency situations.
Seven training simulators — displaying the maintenance of different sub-systems of a train such as the brakes, air supply, door system, auxiliary system, traction system, train air-conditioning and train control management system — have been brought in at Delhi Metro Training Institute at Shastri Park.

Wi-Fi at Airport Metro stations
Commuters on the high-speed Reliance Airport Metro Express Line can now access the Internet on the train, with the operator starting Wi-Fi connectivity at the six stations on the corridor on Friday.
Reliance Metro has tied up with You Broadband to provide the Wi-Fi connectivity. In an inaugural offer, Wi-Fi will be provided to passengers free of cost, said a spokesperson. Officials said Internet will be available to commuters inside the trains in the near future.
