Ganga Expressions

The showroom of Ganga ExpressionsIn keeping with the decade old tradition, Ganga group, having a nationwide presence, has launched its first elite showroom in the capital - Ganga Expressions- an exclusive one-stop-shop for European branded crystals and porcelains located at Karol Bagh. Henri de Quatrebares, President of Daum, France inaugurated Ganga Expressions in November 2000.

According to Henri, " I have developed a great interest for people, culture, religion and history of this nation and our coming together with Ganga Expressions will be an extension to socialite it further. Mr. Jag Mohan Daga, Director of Ganga Group, Director of Ganga group. This showroom is one of its kind in Delhi and for the first time the Crystal Ganesha has been launched by Daum. Created by French master craftsman who have nurtured the lost 1500 BC Egyptian technique of Pate-de- verre along with the objets d’ art from Lalique of France, Swarvoski of Austria, Laldro, Ebano and Paor of Spain, Dear, Krisa and Brunei of Italy."

Year after year, new creations are incorporated in an extraordinarily varied collection of figurines that have many features in common: a coherent style, delicacy and charm, and the famous pastel hues, which have given Lladro international fame.

Delicate and enchanting, Lladro porcelain figurines are decorated with a wide palette of colours comprising of over 4000 different shades. Distinguished by the elegance and harmony of its curves and by the finesse of the lip, the Comtesse Delalande tasting glass, specially designed by Marie-Claude Lalique, has been mouth blown. One can but admire the purity and slenderness of the lines of the transparent cut glass stem, in line with great tradition of the Lalique craftsmen. A subtle play on light is provided by the decoration of frosted cut-glass swirls, recalling the balustrades and the gate of the Chateau. Master glassmakers believe that wine drinkers can tell whether a glass has been hand blown by the sensation of their lips.

CrystalwareDaum style is also known as the Art of Sculpture by fire, famous and valued for its rich technique, and fashion, innovation and colour, appreciated for the energy and baroque touch of its creation that becomes an imitation of life. Daum crystal pieces are increasingly being presented as corporate gifts, often in the shape of horses, boats, and cars or as trophies.

They say just as much about the status of the giver as they reflect the importance of the receiver. Daga who has been dealing with the luxury product segment for the last 17 years further added, "This concept implies touch of class in the retail outlet, featuring the best and the newest possible European art brands under the most exotic and luxurious roof in the best of environment, services and prices.”

Bronze statuesThe prices of the brands available at Ganga Expression ranges from Rs 1000 onwards to 1 million. Daga’s passion for art is very much evident from the exquisite brands displayed in Ganga Expressions.

In the next three years, he plans on setting up a chain of exclusive showrooms all over India with something special and unique each time. Ganga Expressions is a welcome addition to the capital’s art scene. It’s a bonanza for all lovers of European Art. One common thread exists - each piece is an object of great beauty, a bit of art history captured in crystal.
