to learn how to create masterpieces like the ones shown
below. Join the training classes conducted by Indu
Gupta, and learn to enhance and express your creativity.
This training is open to all, including homemakers,
interior designers, mixed media designers and artists.
Welcome to the beautiful world of traditional and modern
Indian art! The Women World Training Centre brings
to life exquisite art works by integrating contemporary
design methods with evergreen classical style. Training
is imparted in Tanjore Painting, Stained Glass Painting,
Cold Ceramic Pottery, Clay Murals, Bread Clay Craft,
Aluminium Foil Painting, Meenakari, etc.
At the centre, students are trained in many different
styles, allowing them to be eclectic and experiment
with varied media. Alternatively, those who wish to
study and master a particular stream or classical style
receive focussed training in that field only. Whatever
path you take there is no denying that your appreciation
and interest in art will increase a hundred fold when
you join the centre.
Here are a few examples of the techniques that
the students are trained in at the Women World Training
Centre:
1.
Tanjore Art
The unique feature of these paintings lies in the
use of gold petina work on the crowns, ornaments, diadems,
tasseled head gear, and in the depiction of the traditional
garments and interiors, distinguishing them from the
other features in the composition.
2. Tanjore on glass
This
is another form of Tanjore art, which also began at
the Tanjore school. Painting is done on glass on the
reverse side in glowing colours. As the materials used
are not very expensive, these paintings cost much less
than the pure form of Tanjore art.
3. Sand Painting
In this technique, sand is mixed with a binder and
used as a medium for giving an attractive raised sculpture-like
effect. This technique can be applied on pots as well
as panels.
4.
Stained Glass Painting
This is a beautiful artwork done on glass. First
the outlines in the composition are defined with a lead
outliner. Then, different colours are filled in to give
the effect of stained glass. This art form costs less
then one-tenth the cost of creating a visually similar
Tiffany art piece. And it has a charm of its own. Stained
glass painting is very popular these days, both among
the artists as well as the buyers.
5.
Tiffany Stained Glass Art
This art form originated in the Art Nouveau period.
It was evolved and perfected by one of the period's
most creative artists - Louis Comfort. He refused to
paint on glass. Instead, he succeeded in joining many
small pieces of coloured and textured glass using lead,
to form a composition. Many amazing beautiful window
panels and lamps were created in this technique. At
the Centre, the art of Tiffany is taught in its original
form, and exclusive imported coloured glasses are employed
in the process.
6. Ceramic painting on black mirror
This technique is used to create a wonderful raised
ceramic effect on black mirror. Cold ceramic is used
here with very soft colors painted on it.
7. Glass etching
No artwork in glass is complete without mastering
the skill of glass etching. Along with etching you also
learn how to achieve different shades of frosting and
textures on glass.
8.
Clay relief work
It is yet another type of embossed painting. Mixed
clay, which is used as a medium, allows the artist to
achieve a very realistic, three-dimensional effect on
a flat background. This technique is used to create
beautiful sceneries in the Rajasthani style.
9. Ceramic Clay Craft
This is yet another form of clay craft that can
be used to make beautiful art pieces.
10. Bread Clay Craft
In this craft, we teach you how to make clay out
of bread and use it to make
different art pieces like napkin rings, flowers, wall
pieces, photo frames, etc. Once you have mastered this
art, you won't have to depend on expensive imported
clays. What's more, you can even start your own business
in this field with very little investment.
So what are you waiting for. Just give yourself that
much-needed break and enrol yourself to learn masterpieces
like these.
