Kemp Fort Toys Kemp
Big competition over child's play
Big
is beautiful, and here's the proof. Spread over an area
of 8,000 sq. feet, covering two floors, Toys
Kemp is the largest toy store in Northern India.
Housing toys for the 'little people' with a big imagination,
the store is definitely a dream come true for the kids.
The glee on their faces upon entering the store is impervious
to this statement. A Bangalore based company, Kemp
Fort Toys Kemp has opened this shop in Karol
Bagh in a charter with Jacy Developers -
a Delhi based company.
The
range of toys in the store is vast. From life-size stuffed
animal toys to Halloween makeup toolkits, Toys Kemp
houses a whole range of toys to keep the little restless
minds in safe playful territory while bringing out their
imaginative creativity. The toys at this store have
been amassed from the U.K., China, Spain and
Germany.
There are toys for the age group of 0 to 16. The extensive
range includes books, games, puzzles, shoes and
CD- ROMs. There is also a section called 'Baby
Section' that embodies items like prams and other
knick- knacks for the 0-1-age range.
The
Toys Kemp store is however, not yet complete in its
construction. The management has immediate plans of
expansion onto another floor. It will then cover an
impressive area of 15,000 sq. feet. Kemp Fort Toys Kemp
has plans for reaching out to the people of Delhi in
a big way. At present they are considering the commencement
of 5 stores in this city itself. Will the size of these
stores measure up in any way to that of the current
one? "Well, let's see. They should be as big as this
store in Karol Bagh, if not bigger," said Krishna
Kumar (Manager). Some of the possible sites for
future Toys Kemp stores could be in South Delhi and
Chandni Chowk.
At present, there are Toys Kemp stores in Nasik and
Bhubhaneshwar. The head office is located
at Bangalore. Their aim is to have a minimum
of five stores in every city. Kumar's comments on the
local toyshops: " They're doing small business and
we're doing big business!" Size does matter after
all! What do you say?
