The owners Mandira Nath and Anjali Vishwanathan are ex models themselves, having done commercials for Diet Pepsi, Pears, Singer sewing machine etc. They have set up the highest standards of hygiene for their beauty clinic and great care has been taken in the selection and training of staff.

According to Mandira Nath, "Vasant Vihar is one place which needs a good parlour. The kind of people who live here are very elite and fussy about hygiene and they want good service at affordable rates. That too with places like Westend, Golf Links, Shanti Path...We have a huge foreign clientele base of about 600 people and many Indians too. As we lay a lot of emphasis on hygiene, I've employed 3 people especially for cleaning. Seeing the response, I think I have to increase our staff."

Emphasis is on individual attention, as they do not want the clients waiting for their turn. All the products at the parlour are sterilized for 24 hours. The manicure, pedicure and waxing equipment are all sterilized and cleaned up properly and 2 sets of equipment are always ready for use. The parlour offers all the services of a saloon as well as specials like protein treatment, hair protein packs and body scrubs. The sea salt body scrub is a favourite with the foreigners - the ingredients are organic sea salt with a vegetable or baby oil base. After a massage, it’s wiped with a hot towel and it’s almost like a Spa treatment.

In addition there is facility for make up, makeovers, consultation with stylists, in case you need to know more on beauty tips. The prices are affordable and the interiors and ambience remind you of a five star hotel. Special make up is offered for brides and fashion shoots. The bridal make up unlike other parlours is very subtle, classy and fashioned, as the owners being ex models know the various kinds and ways to highlight the best in you.

The bridal fantasy is highly affordable and offers head oil massage, facial, threading, waxing, uptan/ bleach, aroma oil body massage, protein treatment, make up and hair setting all at Rs 5000. Theme party make up using feathers, beads and glitter is also available on request in addition to Wedding party make up. Special care has been taken to use only the best beauty products.

Mandira has plans to go to New York for a full course and get a technical stamp. Plans are also afoot to diversify into other areas like acupressure, acupuncture, aroma oil body massages and Reiki with certain other treatments.

Clients come as far as from Defence Colony, Sunder Nagar and even Punjabi Bagh and the regular clients come back again and again. Mandira further elaborates, “There is no use providing regular service which all other parlours can. All our products are genuine and herbal, as we are against adulteration. The newer crowds who are starting parlours are more aware and conscious unlike the much older ones. If you are ignorant about certain things you won’t implement them. We are implementing whatever we can. Our major concern is providing good service and efficient management. Also we don’t believe in minting money by suggesting clients to go for electrolysis which is not very safe, instead we try and put them to the right person which is a dermatologist as no one wants to mess up their face. We even send our staff for special courses in hair colouring. Also we are L’Oreal’s prestige saloons; we have tied up with them."

Plans are there to tie up with famous make up artists and hair stylists. They plan to open another branch in South Delhi and may be in Punjabi Bagh and a men’s saloon as well.
