De Bread's

If you are bored with the same old pizzas and burgers, De Bread's is the place to hit. With an exhaustive variety and unlimited choice it's a place to head again and again. A zest for good food coupled with a trendy ambience at an affordable price is what makes De Breads hip and happening. It lives up to its name with an array of pastries, cookies, tarts, buns, croissants, cakes and more. For starters, it's the best to go for Cream of Chicken soup (Rs 45), which is flavoured with herbs and chicken. The French Onion soup (Rs 45) is another delectable item on the menu garnished with cheese toast.

As for salads, options are many from Chicken salad at Rs 60 to potato and Egg salad at Rs 50. The soup and salad combination should not be missed as appetizers. The Hot Shoppe includes Pizzas and Burgers, with a whole lot of toppings to choose from. But the real delicacies fall in the must have category, be it the simple Chicken in a basket (Rs 140) or the hot and sizzling Chicken sizzler (Rs 140) served on a platter with mushroom sauce, jacket potatoes, honey glazed vegetables and soft rolls.

The vegetarians need not get disheartened; Paneer and Leek sizzler (Rs 125) comes to their rescue. The dish has Paneer Shaslik served on a bed of rice and assorted vegetables, topped with tomato salsa or the Penne Pasta Neapoltiane (Rs 70).

For fish lovers the all the time favourite is Fried fish with tarter sauce and Grilled fish with lemon butter sauce. One of the ultimate dishes on the menu is the Spaghetti bolognaise (Rs 90), a meat based sauce flavoured with garlic and basil served with spaghetti and topped with cheese. If you believe in the good taste of life this dish is highly recommended and so is Roast Chicken rosemary (Rs 140). All these dishes are served with the choicest of accompaniments.

For a more simple fare, Grilled Sandwiches can be tried. The under wraps are another item not to be missed, be it chicken in a wrap (Rs 55) or Paneer and mushroom in a wrap (Rs 45), a combination of mushroom and Paneer with onions and mint sauce wrapped in a mughlai paratha, basically giving it a distinct Indian flavour.

Well after the delicious meal can the desserts be far behind? End the meal with the sweetest sin possible. Pastries, cakes, tarts, truffles in a variety of flavours like chocolate, lemon, pineapple, black forest are available. Some of the mouth-watering desserts are chocolate soufflé (Rs 35), the Mix Fruit truffle pudding (Rs 35) and not to be ignored are the brownies.

The ambience is friendly with self- service and the eager stuff always ready to solve your queries. According to Mohit Juneja, the owner of De Breads, "The chefs have been trained abroad and the food is tasteful, subtle and sophisticated. We use imported machines, the finest ingredients and adhere to the strictest quality standards."

You can even order a takeaway with the choice from the Hot Bakery section that includes Patties, Croissants, Doughnuts, Quiche and mini pizzas. All available in both non- veg and vegetarian varieties. Carry home the soft rolls, masala bread, onion or the garlic bread.

You can get your stuff packed and enjoy a softy at Rs 7 side by side. The place reminds of an old English bakery; aroma of freshly baked confectionery neatly kept in cane baskets. Lounge, look around, take your pick and enjoy. As for Delhiites, very soon De' Bread's will open five branches in Delhi. Till then its destination Noida.
