De Bread's
If
you are bored with the same old pizzas and burgers,
De Bread's is the place to hit. With an exhaustive
variety and unlimited choice it's a place to head again
and again. A zest for good food coupled with a trendy
ambience at an affordable price is what makes De Breads
hip and happening. It lives up to its name with an array
of pastries, cookies, tarts, buns, croissants, cakes
and more. For starters, it's the best to go for
Cream of Chicken soup (Rs 45), which is flavoured
with herbs and chicken. The French Onion soup (Rs
45) is another delectable item on the menu garnished
with cheese toast.
As for salads, options are many from Chicken salad
at Rs 60 to potato and Egg salad at Rs 50. The
soup and salad combination should not be missed as appetizers.
The Hot Shoppe includes Pizzas and Burgers, with
a whole lot of toppings to choose from. But the real
delicacies fall in the must have category, be it the
simple Chicken in a basket (Rs 140) or the hot
and sizzling Chicken sizzler (Rs 140) served
on a platter with mushroom sauce, jacket potatoes, honey
glazed vegetables and soft rolls.
The vegetarians need not get disheartened; Paneer
and Leek sizzler (Rs 125) comes to their rescue.
The dish has Paneer Shaslik served on a bed of
rice and assorted vegetables, topped with tomato salsa
or the Penne Pasta Neapoltiane (Rs 70).
For
fish lovers the all the time favourite is Fried fish
with tarter sauce and Grilled fish with lemon
butter sauce. One of the ultimate dishes on the
menu is the Spaghetti bolognaise (Rs 90), a meat
based sauce flavoured with garlic and basil served with
spaghetti and topped with cheese. If you believe in
the good taste of life this dish is highly recommended
and so is Roast Chicken rosemary (Rs 140). All
these dishes are served with the choicest of accompaniments.
For a more simple fare, Grilled Sandwiches can
be tried. The under wraps are another item not to be
missed, be it chicken in a wrap (Rs 55) or Paneer and
mushroom in a wrap (Rs 45), a combination of mushroom
and Paneer with onions and mint sauce wrapped in a mughlai
paratha, basically giving it a distinct Indian flavour.
Well after the delicious meal can the desserts be far
behind? End the meal with the sweetest sin possible.
Pastries, cakes, tarts, truffles in a variety
of flavours like chocolate, lemon, pineapple, black
forest are available. Some of the mouth-watering
desserts are chocolate soufflé (Rs 35),
the Mix Fruit truffle pudding (Rs 35) and not
to be ignored are the brownies.
The ambience is friendly with self- service and the
eager stuff always ready to solve your queries. According
to Mohit Juneja, the owner of De Breads, "The
chefs have been trained abroad and the food is tasteful,
subtle and sophisticated. We use imported machines,
the finest ingredients and adhere to the strictest quality
standards."
You can even order a takeaway with the choice from
the Hot Bakery section that includes Patties,
Croissants, Doughnuts, Quiche and mini pizzas. All
available in both non- veg and vegetarian varieties.
Carry home the soft rolls, masala bread, onion or the
garlic bread.
You can get your stuff packed and enjoy a softy
at Rs 7 side by side. The place reminds of an old
English bakery; aroma of freshly baked confectionery
neatly kept in cane baskets. Lounge, look around, take
your pick and enjoy. As for Delhiites, very soon De'
Bread's will open five branches in Delhi. Till then
its destination Noida.
