Suribachi
This
restaurant, which opened some seven years back as a mid-budget
Chinese eatout, has now started offering Delhiites
Thai, Malay, Vietnamese and Indonesian cuisine
in addition to Chinese in an all-new décor. Being newly
renovated and painted with large colourful landscapes
with an indoor pond and waterfall with eastern music softly
playing in the background it is worth giving a visit.
Suribachi's
soups, which are mainly of Thai origin, are priced between
Rs 85 and Rs 120. They have tom yam, the coconut
milk-based tom kha and a clear vegetarian noodle
soup with black mushrooms and the Malay original,
tauhu, a vegetarian bean curd and vermicelli soup.
Their seafood menu priced between Rs 225 and Rs 550
offers amongst others ruammitr thalay, a mixed
sea food sizzler; kung saam rod, river prawns in
sweet-n-sour chilli sauce; stir-fried lobster with chilli
paste; fish fillet in Rendang curry and the Vietnamese
ca muc xoa, stir-fried squid with pickled mustard.
Their desserts are out of this world, all priced around
Rs 75. They have fried lychees, toffee banana, sweet
flat noodles, with ice cream.
