Business Fairs at IETF 2001


Rapid industrialisation, structured liberalisation and planned globalisation have been perceived as the key elements in India’s quest for economic supremacy. In keeping with this Confederation of Indian Industry has structured its flagship event – IETF-2001, into industry focused segments.

There were in all, 9 focused business fairs covering IT, Refrigeration, Air Conditioning, Auto sector, Small Enterprises, Foundry and Metallurgy, Instrumentation and Control, Environment, Power and Welding. These focused fairs provided a comprehensive collection of engineering and manufacturing capabilities from across the globe, brought together under one roof.

1. CLEANTECH ENVIRONMENT 2001

6th International exhibition on cleaner process technologies, climate mitigation and renewables. The fair focused on the emergence of environmental consciousness and its impact on the industrial world. It showcased under one umbrella, all
environmental solutions that industry needs today and in the near future. It brought together business leaders and policy makers of this sector from India and abroad, facilitating insights into the latest trends and strategic tie-ups. This fair was supported by Ministry of Environment and Forests, Ministry of Non-Conventional Energy sources, Government of India.

2. EM POWER INDIA 2001

International exhibition on power generation, transmission and distribution. The fair provided an opportunity for the power industry to showcase its capabilities, potential and latest technologies that are efficient and environment friendly.

3. ENTERPRISE 2001

10th exclusive exposition for small enterprises sub-contracting and support services. The small-scale sector accounts for
80% of industrial employment, 40% of the industrial output and 34.25% of the total exports from the country. Yet the SSI sector has not been able to capitalize on the opportunities available, mainly due to the lack of quality information and ways of extending into foreign markets. The fair aimed at overcoming such issues and also facilitating marketing of products and services by SSI sector in local and global markets. The fair was cosponsored by Small Industries Bank of India (SIDBI).

4. INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROLS 2001

An international fair for process control, automation, measurement and analytical technology. Manufacturing standards, the world over, are racing towards highest safety and performance ratings. Accordingly Indian Industry needs to adopt the most stringent quality control methods optimizing production and reducing costs. The fair aimed at making this a possibility by bringing the entire Instrumentation and Controls industry under one roof, at the same time facilitating exchange of ideas and technologies. The fair was supported by ISA India region.

5. IT For Manufacturing

The strategic IT-Engineering connect fair served as the perfect platform for IT companies to profitably engage in offering users, especially the manufacturing sector, wide exposure to IT enabled business processes and AD/CAM/CIM applications.

6. FOUNDRY AND METALLURGY INDIA 2001

The international fair on metal and foundry sector reflected and explored the changes sweeping the Indian/ International Metallurgy and Foundry sector. It provided a platform to diagnose the challenges, opportunities, trends and norms and the investment prospects of this sector. The fair was in association with The Institute of Indian Foundry men, supported by Ministry of Steel, Govt. of India.

7. WELD INDIA INTERNATIONAL 2001

2nd International exhibition on welding technology, the fair attracted a wide cross-section of users and provided the welding and cutting industry a unique platform to present its potential and capabilities and interact with global majors. The fair was conducted in association with The Indian Institute of Welding (IIW).



8. TAASE 2001

The Exposition for Automotive on Aftermarket ad Services- The Exposition for Automotive Aftermarket and services organized by Automotive Components Manufacturers Association of India. In association with CII as in the past IETF’s.

9. REFRICON 2001

The complete air- conditioning, refrigeration, heating and ventilation industry fair. An international exhibition that introduced
industry to the latest innovations, trends and state-of-the-art-technologies in the fields of air-conditioning, heating, refrigeration and ventilation (HVAC) for creating precision conditions for critical industrial processes and control, environment and comfort. Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Manufacturers Association (RAMA) supported the fair.
