After
thirteen mega successes, IETF has secured its
place in Indias business history, aligning itself
to the changes and challenges of the new millennium.
Asias largest all industry fair played host
to 25 countries from across the globe and transcended
frontiers to facilitate global dialogues on forging
mutually beneficial business linkages.
IETF 2001 acted like a platform for countries and
corporations alike to present their technical and entrepreneurial
expertise. The exposition showcased Indias best
was arguably be Asias largest international fair
of products, services and technologies.
This fair was CIIs flagship event encompassing
international engineering, manufacturing and technology
reflecting the challenges of the new millennium and
the ever-expanding world of technology.
The 14th IETF was a comprehensive business event,
segmented into well-defined sectors. The focused approach
within all industry coverage provided opportunities
for strong synergies to encourage interaction for building
strategic alliances.
Spain
- the Partner country participated with
over 160 companies and exhibited cutting-edge technologies
and products. Its participation crystallized in substantial
increase in bilateral trade and investments. The display
of Spanish culture included flamenco dance, Spanish
classical guitar performances, authentic Spanish cuisine
and more.
The participation of leading corporates from India
and companies from over 32 countries made IETF 2001
a unique platform to forge mutually beneficial global
partnerships. IETF 2001 was the reflection of the way
the Indian industry is coming into its own, in this
era of globalization.

With a view to integrate the new as well as the old
economy sectors, Asias largest all industry fair-
IETF 2001 would be clearly segmented into specialized
and focused groups brought together under one roof and
providing a comprehensive collection of engineering
and manufacturing capabilities.
Nine specialized fairs were held concurrently
with IETF 2001. Besides these, several concurrent
seminars, workshops and conferences were organized.
With sustainable development continuing to be the focus
and concern of industry, think tanks, organizations
and governments worldwide, the fair provided a unique
platform for business leaders to network and present
the best practices.
