The IA departure lounge, which conforms to international standard, is probably the best in India. The place is formally decorated giving it a professional touch. The flooring needs a special mention. It is spic-n-span, giving the whole place a brighter look.

The lounge, which is larger than a football field, has numerous 32-inch colour TVs positioned at strategic points. If one of the TVs were showing CNN news or a cricket match, the other would probably be showing a soap opera. This way the passengers can view the programme of their interest.
