The Sanskriti Museum is set in the midst of beautifully
landscaped gardens in the outskirts of Delhi. The
museum comprises of two parts, Sanksriti Museum
of Indian Terracotta and Sanskriti Museum of Everyday
Art.
Sanskriti Museum of Everyday Art displays objects
like jars, combs, mirrors, toys and kitchen utensils.
All the objects are functional and they exquisitely
crafted. The museum was the result of the collections
of O.P. Jain.
Sanskriti Museum of Indian Terracotta displays
terracotta objects collected from all over the country.
Especially interesting are the terracotta pots, which
are exquisite. But adds to their value is the way
they have been made. The method of production used
to make these pots, hasn't changed in centuries.
The Sanskriti Kendra is the centre for interaction
between artists and scholars.
