 Deer Park

People resting themselves in the cool shadeIt is not just another park in the city with trees spread around. Rather it is a natural jungle amidst the Delhi's concrete jungle. As one enters the Deer Park one is transported into an environment abundant in natural bounty. One can feel change in the air. The distinct aspect about the park is that the greenery is allowed to grow freely. The trees and the plants are not manned; they are allowed to grow wildly.

It is the wilderness of the place that segregates it from rest of the parks. Further into the park one gets enveloped into a cluster of trees and bushes. The cluster of trees is so dense that sunlight can hardly penetrate. As one walks through the park one can feel the fresh breeze caress the face. It is the perfect place for nature lovers.

People feeding the deer through the fenceThe place is abundant with various varieties of birds. In fact one can observe various migratory birds. Enjoy the chirping of the birds and watch them do various things. Right in the middle of the park, surrounded by trees, is a small pond. There are benches surrounding the pond where one can sit and admire the flawless beauty of nature. You can see ducks playing with each other, fighting with each other and yet all of them live in harmony with one another. Perhaps they make man realise that he has degenerated so much by fighting on petty things.

The spotted deer Besides ducks there is a massive enclosure for the dainty deer. One can watch them performing various antics and admire their shy behaviour. As greenery is allowed to grow there is no problem of food and intervention of any sort.

The park is a walker's paradise. For the walkers there are well laid out tracks. With all the wild bushes surrounding you, one gets a feeling of being in a remote jungle. One of the advantages of the park is that it can be visited at any time of the day as it never gets hot here. The greenery always keep the environment soothing and cool even in the hot summer.

A monument in the parkAlso there are many exercise equipments like parallel bars, calisthenics exercises fixed at various corners of the park. So any time one feels like getting away from the city, one can go to the Deer Park and relax in the arms of nature.
