Everything at Dilli Haat reminds the visitor of rural
India, be it the rustic architecture, the goods on
sale, the people or the ambience. The single room
structures in red brick are full of attractive handicrafts
and textiles. One can roam around to bargain and shop
to one's heart's content. There are many eating kiosks
here, each belonging to a different state of India
e.g. Andhra Pradesh, Mizoram, Rajasthan, Gujarat,
etc. After the shopping spree is over, one can settle
down on one of the comfortable benches near any of
these and partake a delicious traditional Indian meal
in the open air.

This complex is spread over two blocks and has emporiums
of almost all the states of India. Be it Kairali, Lepakshi
or Gurjari, this is one place where one can find those
items in which each state specializes. Shopping here
can be a great experience, especially if you are looking
for exquisite silk or cotton fabrics, precious and semi-precious
gems, cane furniture, wall hangings or vases. Each Emporium
has its own charm and attractions. One just have to
go and see for oneself. The Coffee Home is located at
the corner of one of the blocks, so one can come and
take a breather here!

The Central Cottage Industries Emporium is an excellent
shopping complex for those vistors from abroad who want
to take back a little bit of India with them but don't
have the time to visit the different states and cities.
Conveniently located in Connaught Place, the Emporium
stocks pottery, art objects, furniture, silverware,
brass items and many other types of merchandise, all
handcrafted by caftspersons from all corners of the
country. Thus, you'll find chikankari kurta sets, leather
juttis, rugs, gold ornaments and much more, all under
one roof here. The goods are imaginatively displayed
and of the best quality. The tastefully decorated, fully
air-conditioned interiors are very pleasant to roam
around in. That's one reason that everything's priced
at a premium!

This is an unusual arcade located in Chanakyapuri. There
are little cottages separated from each other by well
planned paths and sloping lawns. The shops are charming
and well designed. There is a large variety of goods.
While one shop called Sadhka sells home linen another
called Good Earth has bone china sets. One can find
South Indian sarees at Padakkam and jewellery at an
outlet belonging to Mehrasons. There are plenty of boutiques
too, where one can find fashionable dresses and accessories.
